Beer’d was the first documentary I ever made, it was a rushed production process to say the least. My bearded brother David gave me a call and invited me to the first meeting of the Northern Ireland section of The British Beard Club. It sounded like fun, I had just started growing a beard, and Idecided to take my camera with me.

5 hours and quite a few drinks later Beer’d was born.

In 2011, thanks to a new initiative by the folks over at Cinemagic, Beer’d was screened in The Odeon in Belfast before one of the Cinemagic festival feature films. I had the honour of being screened as an introduction to the Russian flick Tomorrow Will Be Better.
